During this 3 day institute for arts administrators from mid-America, national arts leaders provide in-depth training for arts organization staff in areas of management, finances, fundraising and programming.

Kennedy Center National Symphony Orchestra Summer Music Institute 2010 Application and Financial Aid Form  

Deadline for applications was January 22, 2010.

The KC/SMI is a 4-week summer music program at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington, DC, for student instrumentalists ages 15-20 who are seriously considering orchestral music as a career and willing to devote themselves to a musical education. Congratulations to cellist Ben Arbeiter, 2009 Recipient. 

 

2010 High School Congressional Art Competition   Sponsored by SD Alliance for Arts Education, South Dakotans for the Arts, South Dakota Arts Council and Congresswoman Stephanie Herseth Sandlin.       Deadline is May 3, 2010

Past Recipients 

SD Living Indian Treasure Award   The seventeenth annual South Dakota Living Indian Treasure Award will be presented to an American Indian elder in recognition of contributions to Native American art forms. Artists eligible for the award must be living South Dakota American Indians over the age of 55. The 2009 award was presented on February 17, 2009 as part of the South Dakota Governor’s Awards in the Arts at the Ramkota River Center in Pierre.
